Healthcare professionals and the responsible for healthcare services' management regard patient safety as their main objective.

 

 

Daily practice increases the health professionals' abilities but it is also necessary that first contacts with the patient are carried out in conditions of security. Besides, it is also necessary being aware of the skills of every professional at this key moment. This is especially significant for health students in training.

 

There are many ways to increase patient safety. One way is practical experience, by which one gains the ability to respond in situations which simulate the reality of the patient: Clinical Simulation.

 

To this end, the use of technological advances, such as computer applications, mannequins, virtual simulators and advanced robotics must be promoted.

 

Healthcare professionals' education through training programs is basically aimed to improve the quality of patient care and safety.
