Hospital Universitari i Politècnic La Fe, reference centre for uncountable specialities inside and outside the Community of Valencia, is a public hospital with more than 40 years of history.

The hospital is the centre of the Department of Health Valencia La Fe, which is responsible for the healthcare of 210,000 citizens. In addition to these citizens, the hospital takes care of other patients from other departments who come here due to its reference activity. In fact, 50% of La Fe annual activity is based on the care given to these patients.

The Department of Health Valencia La Fe includes:

 

 

· Hospital Universitari i Politècnic La Fe, located at Bulevar Sur, Valencia.       

 

  

· Chronic Hospitalization Unit, located in the old hospital at Avenida de Campanar, Valencia. There are about 100 beds and there is a 24-hour Emergency Care Unit without hospitalization.

 

· The Specialty Centre Ricardo Trénor (Centro de Especialidades Ricardo Trénor), Calle Alboraya, Valencia.

 

·  6 Primary Care Centres (6 Primary Care Centres and 8 auxiliary offices).

 

There are 7,000 workers in the Department of Health Valencia La Fe. More than 1,100 physicians, 400 residents in training and about 3,800 people in Nursing Units (midwives, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists...). The rest of the workers are management and general services personnel.
